Psychoeducational Evaluations / Educational Profiles
The purpose of this type of evaluation is to “paint” a picture of how your child learns and offer specific strategies to facilitate learning.
Children’s brains are growing. Since their neural development is not complete, they learn more easily and more completely than adults or older adults. The more strategies used, the better the outcome. This is true for any activity, and especially true for cognitive development. By understanding your child’s style of learning, including visual and auditory processing and memory, the more you can help tailor her education for her individual success.
This is an individualized assessment that may include:
- General cognitive abilities
- Specific areas of Achievement
- Attention
- Processing
- Memory
- Learning
- Tests of visual and auditory processing
- Emotional functioning
- Behavioral assessment
- Psychological functioning
- Overall Style of learning
